RULES AND THEATER POLICIES FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS

  • Students and parents need to know the name of their Dance Number and which Act they perform in.
  • No underwear and visible tags should be removed.
  • All students must wear their regular class uniform for all rehearsals and their hair in a bun.
  • Show order is listed above and it will be posted in many locations.
  • If you have any questions, ask in the near future so the director, teachers  and chaperons are not bombarded during recital time.
  • Video, photography or recording devices are NOT allowed due to distraction and in consideration of fellow audience members and the safety of all
    performers.  This includes backstage.
  • Arrive early to call times.  Sign in and out at the back entrance of the theater for safety purposes.
  • Rehearsals are closed.  No parents backstage or in the auditorium.  No one on stage unless performing.
  • No food or drink is allowed in the auditorium and definitely not backstage.
  • Please label name on all belongings with a permanent pen on labels and in shoes.
  • Bring NO valuables to the theater.  SASPA, Ronald Reagan High School and the Northeast Independent School District are not responsible for any lost
    jewelry, valuables or money.
  • All performers must attend June 2nd rehearsal at SASPA.  The June 9th rehearsal on stage is MANDATORY at the  auditorium for SAFETY REASONS.
  • These rehearsals are run tight due to the cost of the facility per hour.  Students who miss rehearsals risk ruining the number and more importantly risk
physical danger due to not knowing where to go in the dark and what is or isn't dangerous on or off stage.
  • Layer your tights accordingly.  Some ballet students may have to purchaser tan knee-high hose to wear over pink tights (for jazz) or full tan tights for
jazz and tap depending on costuming.

DANCE BASICS AGES 3 yr olds, 4 yr olds, 5 yr olds, and 6 yr olds

  • DB students should have black elastic sewn through tap shoe eyelets.  Ballet slippers should be tied tightly in a square knot and trimmed approximately
one inch and then tucked into the front of shoes.
  • Parents of Dance Basics pick up your student at intermission off the hallway in the lobby.  Please line up in the line which coincides with your child's
show order.  The assigned parent will deliver your child to you.
  • DB students should be picked up during intermission (Approximately 8:00pm ) whether they are staying to watch the remainder of the show or not.  Act
    2 begins at approximately 8:10pm.

RECITAL FEES AND TUITION

  • The recital and costume fees and all past due tuition must be paid prior to the performance and before complimentary tickets are distributed.

TICKETS

  • All students receive 2 complimentary tickets.  Additional tickets may be purchased for $10.00 each.  SEATING IS RESERVED so first come first
served.  Dance Basics receive an additional ticket so they may join their parents to watch the remainder of the show after intermission.  Tickets may be
picked up beginning May 7th - May 26th, 2012 at SASPA beginning at 4:00 pm.

OMNI-VIDEO TAPES

Parents thank you for your help in advance and enjoy the show.  The students and teachers have worked very hard so applaud loudly (it's contagious) when
you feel like it...there's no wrong time.  The beauty of live theatre is the strive for perfection with its many mistakes.  Have a great show and our thanks to so
many terrific chaperons, parents, teachers and students!
