Prior to auditioning please consider your interest, passion, drive, dedication and the commitment it
takes to be a part of a company. Partial or limited dedication is not fair to directors, other dancers,
choreographers and especially yourself both in training and appearance on stage. All our directors
reserve the right to take any dancer out of a production number if said dancer has missed too
many rehearsals, dancer has a bad attitude and dancer has missed too many technique classes.
SASPA Dance Companies provide a continual performance opportunity for the more dedicated
students of SASPA. This we feel is an integral part of the total training of the young dancer.
The stage experience and community service also enhances our community with entertainment
often not affordable or possible for many San Antonio organizations. In 2009 the companies
performed no less than 14 performances including art shows, Fiesta events, hospital openings,
orphanages, retirement communities, corporate parties, industrial shows, grand openings, theme
park appearances and lastly performances with the Alamo City Dance Company.
