Director Scott M. Conway (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Highland) began his dance training in
Scottish Highland Dance. He received most of his training at the California Ballet
School, later becoming a company member of the California Ballet Company dancing in
many classics. He also trained at United States International University where he
received a BFA in musical theatre and directing. Mr. Conway was trained by Madame
Margarite Ellicott, Maxine Mahon, Charles Bennett, John Hart OBE, Ann Howard,
Erling Sunde, Elizabeth Sutorius, Roland Dupree, Joe Tremaine, George Koller and
Steve Condos.
Mr. Conway has been fortunate to have performed with Edward Villella, Patricia
McBride, Carol Lawrence, Kay Ballard, Dawn Wells and the New York City Rockettes
in addition to performing in many musicals across the country and several tours around
the globe. After choreographing shows at Walt Disney World, Mr Conway moved to
San Antonio to open Sea World of Texas and later open Fiesta Texas as part of the
original creative staff winning most popular theme park show in America as the original
choreographer for Rockin' At Rockville High. Mr. Conway has judged for almost
every national dance competition in the United States. He has choreographed for many
companies in the U.S., taught master classes in the orient, South America and Mexico.
He has been school director for the San Antonio School for the Performing Arts for the
past nineteen years.
Scott M. Conway is from San Diego, California where he received his dance training at the California Ballet School, later becoming a

Bennett, John Hart OBE, Ann Howard, Erling Sunde, Elizabeth Sutorius, Roland Dupree, Joe Tremaine, George Koller and Steve
Condos. After earning his BFA in musical theatre from United States International University, Mr. Conway worked four years at Walt
Disney World. He then performed professionally in ballet companies, dinner theaters, regional theaters and summer stocks.
He has performed in many musicals across the country and several tours around the globe. After choreographing shows at Walt Disney
World, Mr. Conway moved to San Antonio to open Sea World of Texas and later Fiesta Texas as part of the original creative staffs
winning most popular theme park show in America as the original choreographer for Rockin' At Rockville High. Mr. Conway has
judged for almost every national dance competition in the United States. He has choreographed for many companies in the U.S., taught
master classes in the Orient, South America and Mexico. He has twice won the Globe award for best choreography in San Antonio.
Mr. Conway is co-founder and artistic director for the Alamo City Dance Company which he has successfully produced productions
such as The Nutcracker , A Midsummer Night's Dream, Giselle Act II, Swan Lake Act II, Les Sylphides, Rodeo, Pas de Quatre’ and
an original production Lepidoptera. Mr. Conway has also been school director for the San Antonio School for the Performing Arts for
the past nineteen years.
